Philadelphia’s Sabrina’s Announces Major New Brunch Spot in Queen Village
The acclaimed Philadelphia brunch chain Sabrina’s is expanding rapidly with plans to open its largest restaurant yet in the heart of Queen Village, a notable neighborhood known for its vibrant dining scene.
Founded in 2001 in the Italian Market, Sabrina’s will unveil its seventh location at the prominent corner of 419 Bainbridge Street, next spring, promising to bring its signature scratch cooking and welcoming atmosphere to this historic community.
Massive New Space with 150 Seats and Dedicated Waiting Area
The new restaurant will feature nearly 150 seats, marking Sabrina’s largest venue so far, and for the first time, it will offer a dedicated waiting area—a direct response to the chain’s famously long brunch lines. This stands out as Sabrina’s first location built from the ground up, rather than replacing a previous establishment.
The eatery will occupy the ground floor of a 157-unit apartment building rising on a former parking lot just a block away from the iconic Famous 4th Street corridor. This strategic placement underscores Sabrina’s growing influence in the Philadelphia restaurant landscape.
Legacy of Hospitality Rooted in Community
Robert De Abreu, co-founder of Sabrina’s with his wife Raquel, emphasized the restaurant’s deep neighborhood roots and commitment to hospitality. “It’s always been about how people were made to feel when they came to Sabrina’s,” he explained. “It’s much more than pancakes and eggs—it’s about connection.”
Named after their daughter Sabrina, now 26, who currently works as a project manager for the company, Sabrina’s has grown from its modest BYOB beginnings on Christian Street to a Philadelphia brunch icon recognized for oversized breakfasts and a community-first approach.
Queen Village Welcomes Sabrina’s with Open Arms
The new location has received strong support from residents and local leaders who value neighborhood-driven businesses. Cait Allen, president of the Queen Village Neighbors Association, hailed the opening as a win for the community. “The most successful businesses here are not only a draw but also see themselves as part of the neighborhood. Sabrina’s will be both,” Allen said.
Sabrina’s ability to maintain its original spirit amid growth has been credited to the dedicated team of hundreds of employees who have contributed over the past 25 years, with the De Abreus prioritizing preserving the warmth and authenticity that started it all.
What’s Next for Sabrina’s
The new Queen Village location is scheduled to open in spring 2026, setting the stage for Sabrina’s to further cement its place in Philadelphia’s vibrant dining scene. The company’s expansion reflects broader trends in urban restaurant growth, with large, community-focused concepts driving neighborhood revitalization.
Representatives from MPN Realty, including Veronica Blum, Joe Scarpone, and Steven Clofine, facilitated the deal on behalf of the De Abreus, while landlord Alterra Property Group, which also owns Sabrina’s Graduate Hospital site, was represented by Conor Tunno and Steve Jeffries of Equity CRE.
For brunch lovers and Philly residents alike, the latest Sabrina’s signals a major development unfolding now that will bring a beloved dining experience and community hub to Queen Village within months.
