Claudia Asberry, Ariel’s owner, recounted the tense scene that unfolded after church that day. She had brought Ariel to her daughter’s home in Frisco so the dog could enjoy time outside. “She loves the backyard,” Asberry said. “She thinks she owns the backyard.”
Attack Caught on Video as Bobcat Snatches Dog
Suddenly, Asberry heard a scream and rushed outside to witness a bobcat biting into Ariel. The wild animal had jumped over the backyard fence and grabbed Ariel in its jaws. Family members screamed and scrambled in panic, captured in video footage recorded during the attack.
“She just looked lifeless just lying there,” said Asberry, reflecting on the moment her family pulled Ariel away.
