BREAKING: Day Out Snacks has just announced its expansion into 75 new retail locations, marking a significant milestone in their growth strategy. The popular maker of plant-based protein balls is rolling out its products in 28 Dierbergs Markets across Missouri and Illinois, along with 47 Costco locations in the San Francisco Bay Area throughout January 2026.
This expansion is a direct response to the increasing consumer demand for healthier snack options. “These placements establish Day Out’s presence in two key markets with highly respected partners,” said founder and CEO Becky Dheri. The partnership with Dierbergs provides a strong foothold in the Midwest, while Costco allows the brand to tap into a larger, family-friendly market on the West Coast.
The recent growth follows Day Out’s successful rollout in hundreds of stores across the Northeast in 2025, including key players like Costco and Shoprite. “Our retail growth points to the brand’s ability to drive velocity and demand,” Dheri emphasized. She noted that grocers are actively seeking authentic, better-for-you snack brands that deliver both clean ingredients and great taste.
Dheri explained the company’s strategy: investing in retail execution teams to connect with customers directly. “Getting people to try our product through sampling and in-store availability is how we’ve grown our business steadily over the last several years,” she stated. “We’re proof that you don’t have to compromise on quality to scale.”
Day Out Snacks are available in enticing flavors such as Brownie Batter, Cinnamon Bun, Peanut Butter Cup, and Cookie Dough. At Dierbergs Markets, these protein balls will be sold in single-serve packs for a suggested retail price of $3.49. Meanwhile, Costco will feature a 20-ounce variety pack containing five each of Brownie Batter and Cookie Dough packs, retailing for $16.49.
Every two-ounce pack of Day Out’s protein balls boasts 12 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber, crafted from wholesome ingredients like cashew butter, dates, and a unique superfood protein blend that includes organic chickpea, pea protein, sacha inchi, and chia seeds.
With this expansion, Day Out Snacks aims to offer consumers nutritious options that fit into their busy lifestyles. “Our products are designed for functional snacking on-the-go,” Dheri said. “No junk, no fillers. Just real, craveworthy food.”
As Day Out Snacks continues to grow, all eyes will be on how this new retail strategy unfolds. The company’s commitment to quality and community engagement could redefine the snack industry landscape. For more details, visit getdayout.com.
