Just after 7 a.m. on November 20, 2025, DPS officials conducted the stop on a Ford F-250 at the intersection of US 281 and Alberta Road in Edinburg, Texas.

During the stop, the driver, identified as 65-year-old Salvador Garcia Jr., exhibited signs of potential criminal activity, prompting a thorough investigation. According to DPS, the driver consented to a search of the vehicle, leading to the discovery of 50 bundles of cocaine, concealed within a false compartment beneath the pickup truck’s bed.

Alongside Garcia, passenger 39-year-old Jose Ramon Delgado III, a known member of the Valluco gang, was also arrested. Both men are now facing federal charges for possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
