A single-vehicle accident on the Natchez Trace Parkway near mile marker 4 has resulted in two individuals being airlifted to a hospital for medical treatment. The incident occurred in Adams County, prompting a response from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Sheriff Travis Patten, the driver of the vehicle noticed it was overheating and subsequently pulled over to allow the engine to cool. “When they started driving again, it started acting up and pulled hard to the right and off the roadway,” Patten explained. The sudden maneuver led to the vehicle leaving the road, resulting in the crash.
Emergency medical services were quickly dispatched to the scene, where the two occupants were assessed for their injuries. Given the severity of their conditions, both individuals were transported by helicopter for further medical care.
