Louis was born in Hartford, Connecticut, to parents David and Paula Goldberg, and he spent his formative years in Arizona.

After marrying his beloved wife, Sheila Burd Goldberg, the couple relocated to California, where they raised their family. Louis was a proud father to three children: Robert Goldberg, Michelle Goldberg Smith, and Sheri Goldberg Frazin. He instilled in them strong values and encouraged them and their children in their academic and professional pursuits.

Education and Career Achievements

Louis pursued higher education at Arizona State University before graduating from the University of Arizona and later earning his law degree from the South Bay University School of Law. Initially, he worked as an engineer, but his passion for law led him to become an attorney. Louis practiced law until his retirement at the age of 73, leaving a legacy of professionalism and integrity in the legal community.

Throughout his life, Louis enjoyed various activities, including playing sports, practicing karate, and passionately following college basketball. Louis is survived by his wife, Sheila, his children Robert and his wife Elaine, Michelle and her husband Kevin, and Sheri and her husband Alvin. He also leaves behind a thriving family of grandchildren: Jennifer Sher (and husband Rabbi Daniel), Steven Smith (and wife Kelby), Amanda Goldberg (and fiancé Zach), Andrew Goldberg (and wife Emily), Rachel Frazin Sofaer, and Sarah Bowens (and husband Brandon). His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Levi, Sami, Lily, Rory, and Ari.

A memorial service honoring Louis’s life was held on November 16, 2025, at Hillside Memorial Park in Los Angeles, California. Family and friends gathered to celebrate his contributions to their lives and the community.
