Just announced: De La Salle, ranked No. 1, crushed No. 11 California 52-14 at home. Star player Jaden Jefferson, the California state 100-meter dash champion, ignited the game with a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, adding two more scores before halftime. The victory propels De La Salle to an impressive 9-0 record, while California falls to 7-2.
In another high-stakes matchup, No. 3 Pittsburg triumphed over Freedom with a resounding 42-0 victory.
