Lynn Community Health Center Recognized Among Top 100 Women-Led Businesses

BREAKING NEWS: Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC) has just been named one of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts by The Women’s Edge in partnership with The Boston Globe. This prestigious recognition marks LCHC’s inaugural appearance on the list, coinciding with the program’s 25th anniversary and highlighting the vital contributions of women leaders in the state’s economy.

Under the dynamic leadership of CEO Brenda Rodriguez, LCHC has established itself as a pioneering force in community health, focusing on innovation and equity. Rodriguez, who has over a decade of experience in community health centers, previously held the position of Chief Strategy and Financial Officer at Lowell Community Health Center, where she successfully implemented growth strategies and equitable care practices.

What sets Rodriguez apart is her personal connection to community health care. As a patient at a federally qualified health center, she intimately understands the challenges faced by patients. Under her guidance, LCHC has expanded access to essential services, forged robust community partnerships, and made strategic investments in financial and clinical sustainability.

“Receiving this recognition alongside so many trailblazing women is truly meaningful,” Rodriguez stated. “This belongs to every woman who leads, innovates, and uplifts our mission across the community health center movement. It is an honor to see our work celebrated among organizations and businesses that are redefining the leadership landscape in Massachusetts.”

Board Chair Drew Russo praised Rodriguez’s contributions, saying, “Brenda embodies the spirit and ambition of LCHC’s mission and values. Her lived experience, business acumen, and unwavering commitment to community-centered care give us great confidence in the path ahead. This recognition reflects not just her leadership, but the extraordinary dedication of our entire team.”

LCHC serves more than 46,000 patients annually, providing a comprehensive range of services including primary care, behavioral health, dental, substance use services, and school-based and mobile health programs, regardless of a person’s ability to pay. With a workforce that is predominantly women and diverse at all levels, LCHC exemplifies inclusive leadership and community-rooted excellence.

Ranked #38 in its inaugural year on the list, Lynn Community Health Center joins a distinguished group of organizations shaping Massachusetts’s future through purpose, innovation, and inclusive leadership.
