BREAKING: An EF-1 tornado has just touched down in Kendall and Comal Counties, causing significant damage in its wake. The tornado, which tracked over 20 miles with peak winds reaching 110 mph, has left a trail of downed trees, power poles, and damaged roofs, particularly near U.S. 281 and F.M. 306.

The tornado, which occurred late Friday night, resulted in no reported injuries, but authorities are assessing the destruction. As it weakened near Fischer, parts of East Commerce Street have been closed due to concerns over ‘weakened’ construction scaffolding in the area.

Residents are advised to remain vigilant, as crews work tirelessly to restore power and clear debris. Emergency services are on the scene, providing assistance to those affected by the storm.

The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed the tornado’s classification and is monitoring any further developments. While the immediate danger has passed, the aftermath poses challenges for the local community as they begin recovery efforts.

Local officials are urging residents to report any additional damage and to stay informed through official channels. As recovery efforts ramp up, this situation remains fluid.

Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
