Man Arrested After Alleged Shooting in Hartford Road Rage Incident

UPDATE: A man has been arrested following a shocking road rage incident that escalated to gunfire in Hartford, Connecticut, just before 8:40 PM on October 26, 2023. Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Park and Washington Streets and discovered that the victim’s vehicle had sustained damage from gunfire.

Authorities quickly established a description of the suspect’s vehicle, leading to an urgent search by the Hartford Police Violent Crimes Unit and the Greater Hartford Regional Auto Theft Task Force. They soon located the vehicle, apprehending the suspect identified as 30-year-old Lorenzo Dunn of Hartford.

Inside Dunn’s vehicle, officers reportedly discovered a firearm and narcotics. Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department confirmed that Dunn was also wanted for an earlier assault involving a gun earlier this year. He is now facing multiple serious charges, including criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, illegal discharge of a firearm, and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this alarming incident. However, the public is urged to remain vigilant as investigations continue. Dunn has been transported to the Hartford Police Detention Facility, where he will face the legal consequences of his alleged actions.
