BREAKING: Mary Ann (Godfrey) Allar has passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on October 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Duluth, MN, her legacy of love and warmth will be deeply felt by all who knew her.
Mary Ann’s joyous life spanned decades, with many of her happiest moments spent in San Antonio, TX. She was known for her passion for quilting, gifting intricate handmade quilts to friends and family, showcasing her talent and generosity. Her love for playing Bingo and watching game shows, alongside her cherished dogs, Skipper and Maggie, brought her immense joy.
Mary Ann is remembered as the beloved wife of Gordon Allar, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her siblings, Alice (Daryle) Thompson, Michael Godfrey, and Julie Godfrey, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and the special Quinnell children.
A graveside blessing will take place at Oneota Cemetery in Duluth on November 10, 2025, at 10:30 AM. In accordance with her wishes, part of her remains will stay in Duluth, while the remainder will be interred alongside her husband at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery near Spooner, WI, on October 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
