Houston PD Urgently Seeks Help to Identify Carjacking Suspects
UPDATE: The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division urgently seeks public assistance to identify two suspects involved in a shocking carjacking and armed robbery near Midtown. This incident occurred late on September 2, 2023, on the 1100 block of Westheimer, where one of the suspects brandished a handgun and forcibly took the victim’s vehicle.
The stolen car was located abandoned the following day on the 1400 block of Hawthorne. Authorities have recorded this case under reference number 1152686-25.
Police are describing one suspect as a Black male, aged 50–55 years, approximately 5’7″ tall, weighing between 150–160 pounds, and possibly known as “Charles” or “UNC.” The second suspect is also a Black male, but no additional details have been released about him.
This incident raises serious safety concerns for the Midtown community, making it critical for anyone with information to come forward. The Houston Police Department is encouraging citizens to report tips that could lead to the apprehension of these suspects.
Individuals can submit anonymous tips via Crime Stoppers by calling 713-222-TIPS (8477), visiting the Crime Stoppers website, or using their mobile app. Tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to arrests or charges against the suspects.
