Urgent: Man Struck by Train Near Santa Barbara, Hospitalized

BREAKING: A man was critically injured after being struck by an Amtrak train near Santa Barbara on Friday night. The incident occurred at approximately 5:49 p.m. on Cabrillo Boulevard, close to the Santa Barbara Cemetery, prompting immediate action from local emergency services.

Authorities from the Santa Barbara City Fire Department and Montecito Fire Department rushed to the scene of the train-versus-pedestrian collision. City Fire Battalion Chief Jon Turner confirmed that CPR was initiated by police officers and later taken over by fire crews as the victim’s condition remained critical.

Additionally, another man sustained serious injuries after being hit by a freight train in Summerland just days ago.
