Boston Woman Admits to Lying About ‘Vabbing’ for Attention

Cassy, a participant from Boston on the reality show My Strange Addiction, recently revealed that she fabricated a story about using “vabbing”—a trend that involves applying vaginal fluids as a natural perfume. Initially claiming to engage in this practice up to 50 times a day to attract dates, Cassy has now admitted that her true struggle was with alcohol addiction.

In a candid video posted on YouTube, Cassy shared her reasons for appearing on the show. She stated, “I was drinking a lot. I was eating a lot of processed food and I was just genuinely unhappy and lonely.” This admission came after her attempts to join various dating shows were unsuccessful, which she attributed to not being considered attractive enough.

While searching for solutions, Cassy discovered the concept of vabbing and viewed it as an opportunity to gain attention. “At that time, I was really desperate to find a boyfriend,” she explained. “I thought, if I expose myself, if I put myself on TV, that will increase my chances of finding a relationship.”

Following her appearance on the show, Cassy reported a significant increase in dating activity. She indicated that she has been going on numerous dates, has joined a dozen dating apps, and received about 1,000 messages. “Since the episode aired, I’ve been going on breakfast, lunch, dinner dates. Hopefully, I can find ‘the one,'” she said.

Cassy emphasized that vabbing was the only falsehood she presented during her time on the show. Interestingly, she expressed no embarrassment regarding her past behavior, citing that she suffers from alexithymia, a condition characterized by difficulty in identifying and expressing emotions.

While her claims about alexithymia raise questions about her emotional experiences, what remains clear is that Cassy continues to seek connections and attention in the dating world. The story highlights the lengths some individuals may go to for visibility and validation, particularly in the realm of reality television.
