Jean A. Bergman, aged 84, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Florida after a brief battle with cancer. She is remembered fondly by her family, which includes her children Ken (Lisa Blee) Bergman and Jeff (Jenny) Bergman, as well as her brother-in-law Ron (Leslie) Bergman from Washington and sister-in-law Judy (Andy) Weber from North Carolina. Jean is also survived by five grandchildren—Corey (Maddie), Tess (William), Max (Peyton), Devin, and Sophia—along with her great-grandchild, Callen, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born and raised in Acme, Michigan, Jean was a proud alumna of Michigan State University. She dedicated her professional life primarily to administration, serving most notably with the Inver Grove Heights Police Department. Jean’s career was characterized by her commitment to public service and her passion for engaging with her community.
Jean will be remembered not only for her family devotion but also for her enthusiasm for golf and various arts and crafts. She often shared her creative talents with her family and generously donated her handmade items to several charitable organizations. Her artistic contributions and the love she fostered within her family will leave a lasting legacy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Bergman; her parents, Gilbert and Leota Mannor; and her brothers Jack and Richard Mannor, as well as sister-in-law Joyce Mannor.
In honor of her memory, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society instead of sending flowers. No formal services will be held, reflecting Jean’s preference for private remembrance among her loved ones. Her passing leaves a significant void in the lives of her family and friends, who will cherish their memories of her warmth and creativity.
