Jerome F. Bartel, a beloved resident of Inver Grove Heights, passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 91. He is remembered for his deep love for family and his commitment to community. Survived by his devoted wife, Judith “Judy” Bartel, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage, Bartel leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness.
In addition to his wife, Bartel is survived by his children, Susan (Edward) Carroll and David Bartel, along with his cherished grandson, Paxton Carroll. He is also remembered by his brother-in-law, Ted Horner, and a wide circle of family and friends who will miss his presence dearly.
A memorial service will be held on January 10, 2026, at 11 AM at the Klecatsky & Sons West Chapel, located at 1051 South Robert Street in West St. Paul. Attendees are welcome to gather for two hours prior to the service to celebrate Bartel’s life and share memories. Following the memorial, a private entombment will take place at Riverview Cemetery in St. Paul.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul, honoring Bartel’s commitment to helping those in need. They express their gratitude to the staff at Inver Glen Senior Living and St. Croix Hospice for the compassionate care provided during his final days.
Bartel’s life is a testament to the importance of family, love, and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
