URGENT UPDATE: A fire in northwest Rochester has sent one individual to the hospital for burn injuries following an incident that unfolded Wednesday night. According to the Rochester Fire Department, emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 10 p.m. to 3639 Nottingham Dr. NW.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed significant smoke and flames emanating from the front of a split-level home. Authorities determined that the fire was primarily confined to the front entryway but had extended to other areas of the residence, causing extensive smoke damage throughout the structure.
One occupant was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys for evaluation of burn injuries. The Rochester Police Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service were also on the scene to assist with the emergency response.
