Moore Launches Free Christmas Tree Pickup Service, Starts Today!

UPDATE: The City of Moore, Oklahoma, has just announced a free Christmas tree pickup service, launching today and running through January 16. This eco-friendly initiative aims to help residents clear away holiday decorations while promoting responsible disposal practices.

Residents are urged to avoid placing their trees in polycarts or on the curb. Instead, they can schedule a special pickup by contacting the sanitation department at 405-793-5070 or through the city’s online web form. This crucial service not only keeps the streets clean but also ensures that the trees are recycled or repurposed effectively.

For those who prefer to handle the disposal themselves, a drop-off option is available. The Public Works facility at 512 NW 27th St. will accept trees on select Fridays: December 26, January 2, January 9, and January 16 from 7 AM to 5 PM. Residents must present an ID or a City of Moore utility bill to confirm their residency when dropping off trees.

The City of Moore emphasizes sustainability with their message on social media: “Let’s keep Moore clean and green.” This initiative not only simplifies tree disposal but also fosters community engagement and environmental responsibility among residents. By participating, Moore locals are extending the spirit of giving into the new year and contributing to a cleaner, greener community.

Don’t miss this opportunity! Schedule your pickup today and help keep Moore beautiful!
