Two Teenagers Arrested for Armed Robbery on Bemiss Road

URGENT UPDATE: Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Bemiss Road on December 14, 2025. The Valdosta Police Department responded promptly after receiving a 911 call from a victim who reported being robbed at gunpoint.

According to officials, the victim was driving when he noticed another vehicle following him. Initially, he believed it was a case of road rage, but the situation escalated when the other vehicle cut him off, forcing him to stop. Witnesses reported that one of the offenders approached the victim’s car, brandishing a firearm and demanding he roll down his window.

The victim complied, and the assailant seized cash from him before fleeing the scene with accomplices. The police launched an investigation, utilizing surveillance footage from the area to identify the suspects. Authorities confirmed that 19-year-old David Howard IV was the driver and 17-year-old Jaidon Scott was a passenger in the vehicle.

An arrest warrant for Howard was issued, leading to his capture on December 18, 2025, while driving on Baytree Road. Police apprehended him without incident and transported him to Lowndes County Jail. Scott was subsequently located at his home in Brooks County and arrested, facing charges of armed robbery, possession of a firearm during a felony, and possession of a firearm by a person under 21.
