Farmington High School senior Aiden Hahn has officially committed to continue his education and wrestling career at McKendree University, located in Lebanon, Illinois. On March 15, 2024, Hahn signed with the NCAA Division II wrestling program, marking a significant milestone in his athletic journey.
A standout athlete, Hahn has a remarkable wrestling record, having achieved the status of a three-time state tournament medalist. His most notable accomplishment came last winter when he captured the Class 3 individual championship at 126 pounds, finishing the season with an impressive overall record of 44-3. In addition to his state championship, Hahn has also secured two district titles, further solidifying his reputation as a top competitor in the sport.
The signing ceremony was attended by family members and coaches, showcasing the support system that has contributed to Hahn’s success. Seated alongside him were his parents, Hillary and Michael Hahn, and sisters Makaleigh and Avery Hahn. Standing proudly behind him were his coaches from Farmington, including Mark Krause, Chris Birkner, Jesse Martinelli, John Krause, Marcus Hoehn, Jesse Francis, and Peyton Simily.
Hahn expressed enthusiasm about joining McKendree, highlighting the university’s strong wrestling program and supportive community. He stated, “I am grateful for the opportunity to wrestle at McKendree and to continue my education. I look forward to competing at the collegiate level and growing as both an athlete and a student.”
