The junior forward showcased his skills, contributing 17 points and 11 rebounds, proving once again that he is a pivotal player in IMSA’s pursuit of a historic season.
Onwuameze, a formidable 6-foot-4 athlete from Springfield, is not just focused on individual accolades. “I think I bring our team together in a way,” he said, emphasizing his role in fostering teamwork and collaboration. In the game on Monday night, IMSA stormed out of the gate with an impressive 21-1 lead after the first quarter, overwhelming St. Edward (4-5) right from the start. Onwuameze’s performance included two blocked shots and two steals, reaffirming his status as a dual threat on both ends of the court.
