Section 2 Selects 2025 Class C High School Football All-Stars

The Section 2 Class C All-Stars for the 2025 football season have been announced, highlighting standout athletes from various schools in the region. Among the notable award winners, Schuylerville’s Ernie DaCosta earned the title of Offensive Player of the Year, while Zane Briggs from Mechanicville was named Defensive Player of the Year. Additionally, Jordan Barnes, also from Mechanicville, received the All-Purpose Player of the Year award.

First Team Selections Showcase Top Talent

The First Team Offense features a lineup of exceptional players, including quarterback Ben VanVeghten from Schuylerville. Joining him as wide receivers are Alex Palmer and Caron Beattie, both contributing significantly to their teams. The running back position boasts talent with Blake Cumm and Max Montgomery from Schuylerville, as well as Jonathan Harris from Mechanicville.

The offensive line includes Ethan Warner and Matt Kirby from Schuylerville and Mechanicville respectively, along with Alex Rion from Schuylerville, providing crucial protection for the quarterbacks and running backs.

On the defensive side, the First Team Defense features a strong lineup, beginning with defensive linemen Levi Michaud, Neal Turner, and Cooper Thayne, all demonstrating formidable skills in the trenches.
