Two Men Slashed in Early Morning Attack in Queens: Police Seek Suspects

URGENT UPDATE: Two men were violently slashed in a shocking attack in Queens early this morning. Authorities confirm the incident occurred just after 4:08 a.m. on December 7, 2023, at the intersection of Barnett Avenue and 48th Street in Sunnyside.

Police say the victims, aged 27 and 25, were confronted by knife-wielding attackers while trying to retrieve a two-wheeled device. The assault left the older man with a serious slash wound to the face and the younger victim with a slash to the neck. Emergency Medical Services transported the 27-year-old to Elmhurst Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition. The 25-year-old declined medical assistance at the scene.

Authorities from the 108th Precinct responded promptly after receiving a 911 call regarding the incident. Upon arrival, officers located the victims and quickly assessed the situation. A knife was recovered at the scene, intensifying concerns over public safety in the area.
