Ópera Queer will make its much-anticipated return to the Teatro Picadero in Buenos Aires on December 13, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. local time. This innovative performance will feature the dynamic duo of La Ferni and Luchi de Gyldenfeldt, accompanied by pianist Jazmín Tiscornia. The show promises an engaging blend of opera and humor, as Luchi attempts to narrate an opera story but faces constant interruptions from La Ferni, who dismisses opera as “boring.”
The performance will showcase a unique mix of classical and contemporary pieces, creating an entertaining experience that appeals to opera aficionados and newcomers alike. Previously, the program enjoyed a successful run, having sold out the Teatro Picadero back in August. The duo also took their act to the Teatro Metro in La Plata, further expanding their audience.
Costumes and props for the performance will be crafted by Vedette, while makeup and hairstyling will be provided by Deb Torquato. Lighting design will be handled by Flor Ayos, ensuring a visually stunning presentation.
Ópera Queer, founded in 2016, has gained a reputation for its unique approach to opera, performing across various Argentine cities, including Córdoba, Santa Fe, and Jujuy. This upcoming performance at the Teatro Picadero is expected to captivate audiences once again, continuing its legacy of blending humor and artistry in the world of opera.
With its playful narrative and vibrant performances, Ópera Queer is set to offer an unforgettable night that challenges traditional perceptions of opera while celebrating its rich history.
