The shelter is currently promoting free adoptions to ensure these lovable “wiener dogs” find forever homes.
This week, ACPS welcomed 16 dachshunds on-site, with many finding new homes almost immediately. The shelter’s Chief, Michael Bricker, confirmed that the influx of these dogs originated from an overwhelmed breeder, leading to a rapid response from ACPS officers. The shelter has already seen approximately 10 dachshunds adopted and another six placed with rescue groups.
The viral impact of Michel’s TikTok video, which exceeded 1.5 million views, has been a game changer. “I never expected to reach so many people,” she stated, highlighting her commitment to spreading awareness about ACPS’s mission.
