Urgent Screening of ‘Vanishing Village’ Film Set for Nov. 1 in Woodstock

URGENT UPDATE: The Historical Society of Woodstock is hosting a must-see screening of the historical short film, “Vanishing Village,” on November 1, 2023, from 3 PM to 4 PM. This exciting event will take place at the Eames Museum, located at 20 Comeau Drive, Woodstock, NY.

This captivating film, inspired by Will Rose’s acclaimed book, “The Vanishing Village,” offers a unique glimpse into Woodstock as it appeared in 1903. Narrated by Lewis Arlt, the film captures the essence of a bygone era, bringing history to life for audiences today.

Following the screening, attendees will have the rare opportunity to engage in a discussion led by Lewis Arlt and co-producer Janine Fallon Mower. They will share insights into the creative process and the challenges of bringing this historical narrative to the screen.
