Urgent Rescue: Two Rescued from South Jersey Plane Crash
BREAKING: Two individuals have been rescued from a plane crash in Salem County, New Jersey, earlier today. The small private aircraft went down around 11:20 AM near the Rainbow’s End Farm and Airport in Mannington Township, prompting immediate response from local authorities.
Rescue teams, including helicopters from the Delaware State Police, were deployed to the scene after reports of the downed aircraft flooded in. Using advanced drone technology, responders quickly located the wreckage, which was partially submerged in a creek leading into the Salem River.
At approximately 1:30 PM, the Delaware State Police successfully hoisted the two occupants from the crash site. The pilot and passenger had become trapped in mud surrounding the wreckage, complicating the rescue efforts. In a statement posted on Facebook, the Delaware State Police Aviation Section emphasized the teamwork required under such pressure: “Behind every rescue is a team trained to perform under pressure.”
One of the rescued individuals was airlifted to Christiana Hospital in Delaware for medical attention, while the conditions of both occupants remain undisclosed. Emergency crews were also engaged in transporting rescue personnel from the site, ensuring thorough support for the ongoing operation.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the risks associated with aviation and the critical nature of rapid response from emergency services. As the investigation into the cause of the crash begins, officials urge anyone with information to come forward.
