Three Men Arrested in July Homicide Near Fisherman’s Wharf

URGENT UPDATE: Three young men have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting near Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) confirmed the arrests, which occurred early this morning, relating to the homicide of an unidentified man on July 3, 2025.

According to police reports, the victim was gravely injured during a shooting on Vandewater Street — an alley situated between Bay and Francisco streets — and tragically succumbed to his injuries on July 8. The SFPD has labeled the incident as a significant development in their ongoing investigation.

On October 24, a tactical SWAT team executed a search warrant at a residence on the 2500 block of Wallace Street in Oakland. During this operation, officers arrested two suspects: 19-year-old Jeremiah Neal and 20-year-old Elijah Silver, both of Oakland. They have been booked on murder charges.

A third suspect, 22-year-old Jesus Gabriel Cendejas of San Francisco, was apprehended at a location on the 600 block of Francisco Street. He also faces a murder charge, with police discovering a firearm during the search.

Notably, authorities revealed that a fourth suspect believed to be involved in the shooting was himself a victim of homicide in San Francisco back in September. This case remains under investigation, with no information currently available regarding the identity of the homicide victim.

The SFPD has urged anyone with information about this shooting to reach out via their tip line at 415-575-4444, or text to TIP411, starting the message with “SFPD.” All tips can be submitted anonymously.

This incident adds to the ongoing discourse about public safety in San Francisco, which is on track to experience the lowest homicide rate since 1954, with just 22 homicides recorded so far in 2025.

As details unfold, this story highlights the urgent need for community involvement in preventing violence and ensuring safety in urban areas. Stay tuned for more updates as the SFPD continues its investigation into this troubling case.
