UPDATE: A suspect has been arrested following a fatal stabbing incident in Riverside that left a 35-year-old Moreno Valley man dead. Police confirmed the arrest of John Larry Perryman, aged 34, in connection with the violent act that occurred just last week.
The stabbing incident unfolded at approximately 12:20 p.m. on December 9, 2023, in the 3700 block of University Avenue. Responding officers discovered the victim, identified as Jullian Hughes, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.
Authorities report that Perryman fled the scene but was later apprehended near 14th Street and Segewick Avenue. He has been booked on suspicion of murder and is expected to appear in court next week.
