The Knights surged ahead early, leading 29-11 at the end of the first quarter and 48-16 at halftime, showcasing a decisive offensive strategy that left fans thrilled.
Senior center Connor Corlett was a standout player, racking up 16 points and 12 rebounds. “We have been struggling offensively, but tonight we moved the ball better and created open shots for each other,” said Knights coach Chris Christensen, praising his team’s unselfish play. This victory marks an important turnaround for Soquel, now holding a record of 6-3 overall as they prepare to host Pacific Grove on January 5 at 7 p.m.
The Knights’ offense saw contributions from multiple players, with senior Miles Johnson adding 14 points and juniors Ryan Grilli and Mason Esters each contributing 9 points. Grilli notably hit three of the team’s total of 11 three-pointers during the game, demonstrating the Knights’ sharp shooting skills.
