Red Bank Express Library Opens Wednesday in Evansville, IN

URGENT UPDATE: The new Red Bank Express Library is set to open this Wednesday, November 1, 2023, on the west side of Evansville, Indiana. This temporary library branch, located in the former Liberty Federal Credit Union building on University Drive, will provide essential library services to the community following the closure of the original Red Bank location.

Officials confirm that the temporary facility will feature approximately 20 percent of the materials from the old library, including books and multimedia resources. Additionally, patrons can take advantage of computer services for both adults and children, ensuring access to vital technology and information.

The opening comes after the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library (EVPL) announced plans to demolish the nearly 35-year-old west side building to pave the way for a significantly larger regional library. This transition highlights the commitment to enhancing library services in the area.

For added convenience, a drive-thru drop-off box will be available behind the new location, making it easier for community members to return items. This innovative approach aims to streamline library operations and provide a user-friendly experience.

As excitement builds, residents are encouraged to visit the Red Bank Express Library starting on Wednesday to explore the available resources and services. The new library promises to be a vital hub for knowledge and community engagement during this transitional period.

Stay tuned for further updates as this story develops, and mark your calendars for the official opening of the Red Bank Express Library this Wednesday!
