Raiders, Knights, Trojans, and Warriors Surge to District Finals

URGENT UPDATE: Four high school football teams—North County, Farmington, Potosi, and Valle Catholic—have advanced to their respective district finals following dominant performances in the semifinals on Friday night, October 23, 2025. The action unfolded across multiple locations, showcasing thrilling gameplay and standout individual efforts.

In Bonne Terre, North County delivered a stunning 51-7 victory over Perryville, thanks to junior quarterback Braydee McClure, who scored four rushing touchdowns and threw for another. McClure accumulated 204 yards on 15 carries, leading the Raiders (6-5) to a commanding halftime lead of 49-7. The Raiders will face top-seeded Festus for the championship next Friday.

Notably, Noah Lashley made significant contributions, including a 34-yard touchdown on the opening drive and two interceptions on defense. The Raiders showcased their offensive prowess, amassing 427 total yards against Perryville, who finished the season at 7-4.

Meanwhile, in Farmington, the Knights triumphed over Fox with a score of 49-28. Senior quarterback Tatem Tinsley was the star of the night, accounting for seven total touchdowns, leading Farmington (8-2) to a decisive win. Tinsley completed 12 of 20 passes for 277 yards and also rushed for 72 yards, demonstrating his versatility.

Farmington’s momentum surged after forcing a pivotal turnover just before halftime, allowing Tinsley to score a critical touchdown. The Knights scored 36 consecutive points to establish a dominant position in the game. They will now prepare to face Cape Central in the district championship.

In a thrilling matchup in Park Hills, the Potosi Trojans edged out Central with a final score of 35-28. Noah Walton was a standout, rushing for 199 yards and three touchdowns. The Trojans executed several trick plays, including a crucial 41-yard run on a fake punt, to secure their first district final appearance since the postseason format changed in 2012.

Despite a late surge from Central, Potosi’s defense held strong, culminating in a controversial conclusion where Central was denied a potential game-tying opportunity due to a miscommunication by officials. The Trojans will take on Dexter for the title next.

In Ste. Genevieve, Valle Catholic delivered a commanding performance against Herculaneum, winning 49-8 to reach the District 1 final. Evan Fallert was exceptional, scoring four touchdowns and gaining 156 yards on just 13 carries. Valle Catholic (10-0) dominated the game, achieving a total yardage advantage of 360-174.

Fallert’s early touchdown runs set the tone for the Warriors, who found the end zone five times in the second quarter. They will host Lift for Life next Friday in pursuit of their first district championship as a Class 3 program.

As the district finals approach, anticipation builds for these exciting matchups, with teams eager to secure their spot in the next stage of the postseason. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for updates and game highlights as high school football reaches its thrilling climax.
