“We’ve done a lot of right things in this city. You can see by the product we put out there, that being our kids and our scores reflect that,” said Robert ‘Coach P’ Person, a longtime figure at the school. He added, “It’s just been a treasure to be here. An honor to be able to say I worked at Mountain Gap. Plus, my wife also went here. So that’s kind of a bonus there.” His comments echoed the sentiments of many who attended the celebration, emphasizing the deep connections formed at the school.
