The Wildcats, third-seeded and boasting an impressive record of 11-1, displayed a commanding performance that leaves them one step closer to a state title.
This victory sets the stage for Mogadore to face either top-seeded McDonald, currently undefeated at 11-0, or Monroeville, who holds a record of 9-2. The regional finals will take place at a neutral site, heightening the anticipation for fans and players alike.
Mogadore’s offensive onslaught was led by standout player Conner Lehner, who opened the scoring with a thrilling 56-yard rushing touchdown and later added a 3-yard touchdown run, propelling the team to an early 19-0 lead. Teammate Dylan Benedum contributed significantly as well, securing two rushing touchdowns from 24 and 3 yards out.
