UPDATE: Kingsway High School has clinched a decisive victory against Toms River East, winning 47-21 in the championship match of the Dan Trainer Duals held at Collingswood on January 16, 2025. This thrilling match saw Kingsway erase a six-point deficit with an explosive finish, demonstrating their dominance in high school wrestling.

The Dragons, led by head coach Mike Barikian, initially trailed after Toms River East claimed five of the first eight bouts, taking a 21-15 lead thanks to Damian Vonderlinden’s 9-3 decision over Jayden Watson at 144 pounds. However, Kingsway responded with a stunning performance, securing four consecutive pins in the final six matches.

Key victories included Ryan Glenn, Ashton Ford, and Matthew Miranda each earning critical pins that propelled Kingsway ahead at 33-21. This momentum was further solidified when Gabe Eisenhart followed up with a technical fall at 175 pounds, and Jamar Greaves capped off the victory with a swift pin at 190 pounds. Chris Owen also added a victory by decision at 215 pounds, sealing the championship for Kingsway.
