Despite the loss, South Torrance’s quarterback Chase Spahr, who leads the Pioneer League in passing, managed to score an 8-yard rushing touchdown and connected with Jacob Kerekes for a 21-yard touchdown pass. Spahr acknowledged the challenges his team faced, particularly against North’s aggressive defense.

Coach Matt Mishler highlighted the struggles of managing fatigue with a roster of just 33 players, which became evident in the second half. “We didn’t really have much life in the second half,” he admitted, noting that fatigue likely affected their performance.
