Harris County Deputies Arrest Driver with BAC of 0.154 on Kuykendahl

URGENT UPDATE: Harris County deputies have arrested a suspected drunk driver with an alarming blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.154, significantly over the legal limit, during a traffic stop on Kuykendahl Road on January 3, 2023. Authorities responded swiftly after noticing clear signs of intoxication from the driver, identified as Michael David Nelson.

During the traffic stop, deputies administered the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which Nelson failed to complete satisfactorily. This failure prompted deputies to take immediate action, confirming he was operating his vehicle while impaired.

Constable Mark Herman emphasized the peril of drunk driving, stating, “We must keep potentially unsafe drivers off the road.” Following the arrest, Nelson was booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. His bond was set at $100 out of County Court 1.
