BREAKING: Five individuals are hospitalized following a serious accident in Minot, Maine this morning. At approximately 8:13 a.m., a pickup truck, driven by Sherwood Jordan, 73, crashed into a downed tree before colliding with an SUV on Center Minot Hill Road.
According to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office, Jordan was operating a 1989 Ford F-150 when he lost control after hitting the tree. The truck then crossed the centerline, resulting in a direct impact with a 2025 Toyota RAV4 driven by Howie Wu, a 16-year-old from Brooklyn, New York.
Jordan, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was partially ejected from the vehicle during the crash. His passenger, Mitzie Naples, was also taken to the hospital. Wu and his two passengers sustained injuries and were transported for medical care as well.
The crash investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released additional details at this time. Local residents are urged to avoid the area as emergency services respond to the scene.
