UPDATE: The last two suspects in a significant drug trafficking operation in Creedmoor, N.C. have been apprehended, according to the Granville County Sheriff’s Office. This breakthrough comes just days after ten suspects were arrested in a major crackdown involving the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement and local police.

The arrests were part of an extensive investigation that targeted drug manufacturing and distribution activities centered around the City Tavern at 404 N Main St. This operation has had a profound impact on local safety, particularly around schools and playgrounds, as authorities revealed that the drugs were being sold near community hubs.

Earlier this week, authorities announced that two suspects were still at large, prompting urgent calls for their capture. Those suspects, Travis Keyshawn Johnson, 23, and Marcus Shadell Lockett, 52, were wanted on multiple felony charges. The Granville County Sheriff confirmed their arrests on Saturday.

Johnson was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Butner on Friday night, where officers discovered a firearm, 9 grams of cocaine, and 58 grams of marijuana. Johnson now faces serious charges, including felony possession with intent to sell/deliver both marijuana and Schedule II controlled substances, as well as maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances.

Meanwhile, Lockett was apprehended without incident by investigators from the Granville County Sheriff’s Office. He faces charges of felony conspiracy to sell/deliver Schedule II controlled substances.

The swift conclusion of this operation marks a significant victory for local law enforcement, reflecting their commitment to tackling drug-related crime in the area. Officials are urging community members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity as the investigation continues.

As this story develops, residents are encouraged to stay updated on further announcements from the Granville County Sheriff’s Office. The impact of these arrests is already being felt in the community, shedding light on the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in North Carolina.

Stay tuned for more updates as authorities continue to address this urgent public safety issue.
