Children Invited to Join Halloween Campfire Event Oct. 23
URGENT UPDATE: Children in Ashburnham are invited to gather for a magical evening of Halloween storytelling with Todd Goodwin on Thursday, October 23, from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at the Stevens Memorial Library. This captivating event, titled “Halloween Campfire for Children,” promises to ignite young imaginations with a blend of storytelling, music, and humor.
Goodwin, a lifelong New Englander and Fitchburg native, is renowned for his ability to transport listeners to fantastical realms through his engaging narratives. “Around the campfire there are no costumes or sets, just the face and voice of the teller who uses the imagination of the listeners to travel to different places in time and space,” he explains. His storytelling draws on over 45 years of experience in schools, libraries, and community centers across the region.
This free, family-friendly event is hosted by the Friends of the Stevens Memorial Library and is designed to be an enriching experience for children and parents alike. “I enjoy watching listeners’ faces as they use their imagination to get into a story,” Goodwin adds. “And they always do!”
Parents are encouraged to register their children for this unique Halloween experience. For more details and registration, visit the library’s website at ashburnhamlibrary.org.
Don’t miss this chance to create lasting memories around the campfire and embrace the spirit of Halloween storytelling!
