Bryan Carpentier, 81, Remembered for Service and Community Impact
BREAKING: Bryan Edward Carpentier, aged 81, of Iron River, Wisconsin, has passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, surrounded by family. His loss is felt deeply in the community he served for decades, and tributes are pouring in for a man who made an indelible mark on the lives of those around him.
Bryan was born in Southington, Connecticut, and was the eldest of five siblings, leaving behind brothers Skip, Charlie, and Ron, as well as sister Sue. Known for his creativity, wit, and generous spirit, Bryan’s impact on family and friends was profound. His girlfriend, Margie, and his children, Robert (Jenny), David (Susan), and Wendy (Jeff) Gunderson, alongside grandchildren, are mourning his passing. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Gloria.
News of Bryan’s passing has sparked heartfelt memories from community members. Described as gentle and humble, he dedicated over 26 years to serving in the Air Force and as a member of the 148th Fighter Wing Minnesota Air National Guard. His commitment to his country and community was unwavering, evidenced by his extensive involvement in local organizations and schools.
Bryan was a proud member of the Trinity Free Masonic Lodge #282 for over 54 years and actively contributed to the Shriners International. His volunteer work at the Bentleyville City of Duluth Holiday Lights Display was particularly close to his heart, where he served on the Electrical, Santa, and Marketing teams for over 17 years.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held on October 31st at 3:00 PM at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Saginaw, MN, followed by a Celebration of Life at 4:00 PM at the AAD Shrine Meeting & Event Center in Hermantown, MN.
