Anson Mount Shares Thanksgiving Greetings as Filming Ends Soon

UPDATE: In a heartfelt Thanksgiving message, Anson Mount greets fans as production on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds nears its conclusion. Only one episode remains to be filmed, with filming expected to wrap by December 2025.

The announcement comes as the cast and crew have been diligently working through the holiday season, reflecting their commitment to deliver the much-anticipated series. Mount shared his festive wishes on Instagram while heading to the set, showcasing a quick moment with co-star Jess Bush and director Chris Fisher.

This Thanksgiving is particularly significant as the American cast continues filming, having missed the Canadian Thanksgiving in October. The crew is currently based at CBS Stages Mississauga in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Just last week, Mount expressed exhaustion as he returned home briefly, but he appears revitalized and ready for the final stretch of filming.

At the recent ST: CHI – Trek to Chicago convention, co-star Christina Chong reflected on the bittersweet nature of nearing the end of filming, stating, “We are just almost finishing. We’re about to start shooting the last episode of Strange New Worlds. How crazy is that?”

As production wraps, fans have much to look forward to, with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds confirmed for a fourth season set to release in 2026 and a fifth season expected in 2027. A total of 16 new episodes are still on the horizon, ensuring that the beloved franchise remains vibrant in the coming years.

Mount plans to return home to Nashville, Tennessee, for a belated Thanksgiving celebration before returning to the set next week. The excitement surrounding the final episodes is palpable, and fans are eager for updates as the series progresses toward its completion.

Stay tuned for more developments from the Star Trek universe as it continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
