BREAKING: The 27th Annual Window Painting Project is taking place today at the Children’s Service Center in Wilkes-Barre, bringing holiday cheer to the community. This beloved event, held on November 22, 2025, honors the memories of Edward Luksha and Barbara Luksha Roche, and is sponsored by the Luksha-Brown family.
Volunteers are currently putting the finishing touches on their festive window paintings, transforming the center into a vibrant display of holiday spirit. Among them, Evelyn Migatulski is excitedly completing her colorful SpongeBob design, while Anne Jenkins beams with pride over her cheerful artwork. The atmosphere is filled with joy as community members come together to celebrate and create lasting memories.
This year’s event was initiated by Rosemary Luksha, who started the project over two decades ago as a tribute to her late brother, Edward Luksha. The project not only showcases artistic talents but also fosters a sense of community and connection, especially during the holiday season.
Attendees are encouraged to come out and witness the creativity and enthusiasm of the volunteers. The event is expected to draw in a significant crowd, with many community members eager to share in the festive atmosphere.
