Bangor Man Arrested After High-Speed Chase and Foot Pursuit

A man from Bangor was apprehended on March 15, 2024, following a vehicle and foot chase that unfolded along Broadway. The individual, identified as Corey Paradise, 52, attempted to evade law enforcement after Officer Brian Cronk initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Griffin Road at approximately 12:28 p.m.

According to Sgt. Jeremy Brock of the Bangor Police Department, Paradise was already wanted due to an outstanding warrant and was prohibited from operating a vehicle. When Officer Cronk attempted the stop, Paradise accelerated away, leading to a pursuit that extended onto outer Broadway. After abandoning his vehicle, he fled on foot.

The chase concluded when officers from the Bangor Police Department apprehended Paradise on Pushaw Road. He now faces several charges, including Class E offenses of refusing to stop for a law enforcement officer, driving to endanger, and operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked license. Following his arrest, Paradise was transported to Penobscot County Jail later that afternoon.
