Several universities across the Midwest have recently announced their Dean’s List honorees for the fall semester of 2025, highlighting the academic achievements of students in various fields.
Winona State University Recognizes Academic Excellence
Lauryn Ahlers from Worthington has been named to the Dean’s List at Winona State University. To qualify for this distinction, undergraduate students must be enrolled full-time and achieve a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 while completing at least twelve credit hours.
Ridgewater College and North Dakota State University Honor Students
In a similar vein, Ridgewater College in Willmar has announced its Dean’s List for the fall semester of 2025. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of nine credits. Among those recognized are Case Van Dyken from Luverne and Caleb Barber from Worthington, alongside several others from the surrounding area.
Meanwhile, North Dakota State University in Fargo has revealed that 4,349 students qualified for its Dean’s List for the fall 2025 semester. Entry criteria include a GPA of 3.5 or higher with at least twelve class credits. Local students who made the list include Autumn Luinenburg from Bigelow, pursuing agricultural education, and Hailey Vandenbosch from Fulda, studying nursing.
Additionally, Olivia Lapthorn from Pipestone graduated with a bachelor’s degree in strategic communication during the Fall 2025 graduation ceremony, where a total of 817 degrees were awarded.
South Dakota State University and Morningside University Celebrate Achievements
At South Dakota State University in Brookings, more than 4,100 students earned spots on the Dean’s List for their outstanding academic performance in the fall 2025 semester. To be included, students must complete at least twelve credits and achieve a GPA of 3.5 or better. The list features students from various towns, including Hiltyn Heitkamp and Quentin Wolf from Adrian.
In Sioux City, Morningside University has recognized 472 students for their academic excellence, requiring a GPA of 3.67 or higher while completing at least twelve credits. Local honorees include Jenna Dykstra from Brewster and Meredith Draper from Pipestone.
Iowa State University Honors Top Achievers
Iowa State University in Ames has also announced its Dean’s List for the fall semester of 2025, recognizing over 11,800 students for academic achievement. Students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.5 while carrying a minimum of twelve credit hours. Among those recognized are Peter Baustian and Caleb Schunk, both from Luverne.
The President’s List, which requires a perfect GPA of 4.0 for two consecutive semesters, includes local students such as Tyce Gunderson from Lake Park, Iowa.
