The 2025 Merry Christmas Fund has achieved an impressive milestone, reaching over 5% of its $50,000 goal within just five days of its launch. This year marks the first time the fund has accepted online donations, broadening its reach and engagement with contributors.

In a notable development, the fund received its first out-of-state donations on Wednesday, with contributions arriving from South Carolina at the Salvation Army Chester Corps. The total amount raised to date has reached $2,985.09, including $830.09 donated on the most recent day.

John E. O’Brien of Aston, who donated $150 “in loving memory of our parents, June and Henry O’Brien.”
Patricia Woznicki of Media, who gave $100 “in memory of Sande and Pat Walton.”
Lawrence Worrilow of Myrtle Beach, SC, contributed $100 “in memory of Thomas H. and Amelia Worrilow Sr.”
Krystina I. Masterson of Longs, SC, made a generous donation of $250 “in memory of Shirley Ostrander.”
Bob Hughes of Swarthmore and an anonymous donor from Aston both contributed $100 and $30.09, respectively, with messages of “Merry Christmas.”
