Kiwanis Club Hosts Annual Costume Exchange and Halloween Events
The Great Bend Kiwanis Club organized its annual costume exchange on October 28, 2023, offering community members the chance to find free Halloween costumes. The event took place on the library lawn, where attendees could browse through a variety of costumes, wigs, and accessories suited for all ages.
In addition to the costume exchange, the Kiwanis Club will host the Downtown Halloween Boo from 11:00 to 13:00 at Jack Kilby Square. This event invites children to dress in costumes and collect treats from participating downtown businesses. Local churches are also contributing to the festivities with a Community Trunk or Treat, providing even more opportunities for families to enjoy Halloween activities.
The costume exchange serves as a valuable resource for families looking to celebrate Halloween without the financial burden of purchasing new costumes. With the support of community members and local organizations, the event fosters a spirit of togetherness and creativity.
As Halloween approaches, events like these play a crucial role in enhancing community engagement. The Kiwanis Club aims to make Halloween accessible and enjoyable for everyone, ensuring that all children can partake in the excitement of dressing up and trick-or-treating.
For more information about the Kiwanis Club and their upcoming events, community members can visit their official website or contact them directly. The organization continues to demonstrate its commitment to serving the community through various initiatives, including this festive celebration.
