Gail K. Wold, a cherished member of the West St. Paul community, passed away at the age of 87. She is remembered for her deep commitment to faith, family, and a passion for music and volunteer work. Gail’s legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as her extensive contributions to her local church and community.
Born Gail K. Zinschlag, she is survived by her children, Janelle (Todd) Rau and Kevin (Jodi) Wold, along with four grandchildren: Aaron (Kim), Emily (fiancé Jake), Griffin, and Shiloh. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Daniel, her brother-in-law Paul (Linda) Wold, and several nieces and a nephew.
Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Howie Wold, and her parents, Gil and Ellen. A graduate of Park High School in 1956, she dedicated over 70 years to music ministry and held the position of children’s choir director for more than 50 years. Additionally, she volunteered at the Minnesota Zoo for 45 years, showcasing her love for animals and community engagement.
Memorial Services Scheduled for December
Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for December 19, 2023, from 16:00 to 19:00 at King of Kings Lutheran Church, located at 1583 Radio Drive in Woodbury. A funeral service will take place the following day, December 20, 2023, at 11:00. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation at 10:00. A luncheon will follow the service, providing an opportunity for loved ones to gather and remember Gail.
Gail’s family encourages memorials in her honor, reflecting her lifelong dedication to her community and faith. Her contributions will undoubtedly be felt for years to come, as she touched the lives of many through her music and volunteer work. The community mourns her loss while celebrating a life well-lived.
