The initiative began on November 30, 2025, when local business owner Colin Crowel, from Carguys Auto Detailing, launched a GoFundMe campaign. After seeing photos and videos of Mo’s deteriorating truck circulating on social media, Crowel was moved to act. His goal was clear: to secure a safer, more reliable vehicle for Mo, who has faced health challenges in recent years.
In just one month, the campaign garnered support from over 500 donors, raising more than $22,000. This collective effort allowed Mo to step into his new truck, a moment celebrated on January 10, 2026, at Gates Chevrolet in South Bend.
During the reveal, Mo expressed his gratitude, stating, “God blessed me.” The emotional moment was not lost on Crowel, who described it as one of the most rewarding experiences of his life. “I’ve got to do a lot of amazing things,” he said, “but I think this is the top moment.”
