Adams Christmas Tree Festival Returns to Support Community Pool

The annual Christmas Tree Festival Fundraiser is set to return to Adams on December 6-7, 2023, with a focus on raising funds for the Adams Pool. This beloved event has supported community initiatives since it began benefiting the Adams Town and Recreation Corporation in 2018. With significant repairs needed for the local pool, community involvement is crucial this year.

Taking place at the Adams American Legion, the festival will commence at 11 a.m. each day. Attendees can look forward to viewing an enchanting display of up to 40 themed Christmas trees, each designed by local residents, businesses, and organizations. While the themes remain under wraps until the event, past decorations have included a giant snowman tree, a Grinch-inspired creation, and a sparkling 1950s tinsel tree featuring a color wheel.

Students from Southland School and Sacred Heart School will also participate by decorating trees based on their favorite books. These student-designed trees, along with the respective books, will be featured in a silent auction. While most trees will only be on display, a few generous contributors will offer their creations for sale, contributing to the fundraising effort.

The festival will also host a silent auction with more than 150 items available for bidding, providing ample opportunities for attendees to find unique holiday gifts or treats for themselves. Guests can either bid on items or purchase them outright. Additional fundraising activities will include raffles, a chili luncheon, and a free-will donation entry fee.

Those interested in getting involved can contribute by decorating a tree, entering the Gingerbread House contest, or participating in a cookie exchange. As the festival approaches, community support is more important than ever. Together, residents can ensure that the Adams Pool continues to serve not only Adams but also the neighboring communities of Taopi, Rose Creek, Elkton, Johnsburg, and Dexter. This year’s festival promises to be a celebration of local spirit, creativity, and generosity.
